Gutters: Issue #427 – Josh Adams

Original source

I’ve said it before, but I will admit once again that I’m pretty ignorant when it comes to most things Whovian. Even in my state of ignorance though, it was hard not to notice the excitement created by Matt Smith’s impending departure from the long-running show.

I think the concept of Dr. Who (ie a man who can regenerate, keeping the show fresh over and over again) is a brilliant one that allows the show runners to go pretty much wherever they want. I do think though they may want to take this chance to mess around with the fan base a bit when it comes to who the next doctor will be. In addition to Alan “Everyone’s Favourite Crazy Uncle” Moore, I’d like to humble suggest the following:

Hulk Hogan – “Whatcha gonna do when the Daleks run wild over you, Brother?”

The Great Gazoo – Only so he can refer to his enemies as “Dum-Dums.”

Batman – Because… he’s the Goddamn Batman.

These are just a few suggestions off the top of my head of course, but Steven Moffat… My number is in the book.

Today’s page comes from someone who is no stranger to the Whoniverse, the prettiest damn Time Lord I’ve ever met, Josh Adams:

If you’re a fan of shows like Doctor Who and Sherlock, then Josh Adams is the creator for you. Adams is a regular artist on the IDW comic series Doctor Who and has achieved notoriety for his exquisitely designed Sherlock illustrations. At just 26 years old, Adams has racked up credits at both DC (House of Mystery, JSA, Batman Odyssey) and Marvel (Astonishing X-Men Motion Comics) as well as Syfy shows like Eureka, Battlestar Galactica, Warehouse 13 and Alphas, and is working on a new webcomic series. Adams’ work can be found at his website He also just happens to be the son of legend Neal Adams.

Have a good one, friends! See you back here Friday!
