Took some time to have a good look under the bonnet today and started cleaning up using some Gunk Green biodegradable degreaser.
Working with the wings off makes a big difference when it comes to access but still couldn’t see the source of a fuel leak. All the hoses I could see were fine but the fuel pump is hard to access so haven’t done a full system check yet.
The carb is now recognisably aluminium and brass rather than matt black which should help with diagnosing any leaks here.
